The government claims that the meat of Kadaknath chicken received from its parlor is fully guaranteed, but the BJP has raised objections to the sale of Kadaknath meat.

GI tag (Geographical Indication) is mainly given to certain specific products (agriculture, natural, handicrafts and industrial goods) which have been produced or manufactured in a certain geographical area for 10 years or more. Its main purpose is to provide protection to those products.
It is mainly found in Jhabua, Alirajpur and Dhar districts of western Madhya Pradesh.
