Many legends are associated with the festival of Diwali. According to Valmiki's Ramayana, Vijayadashami defeated Sri Rama and freed his mother Sita. Dhanteras
Dhanteras or Deepavali is the first of the five festivals. This day is about the glory of Dhan Lakshmi worship. Bhakti worships him faithfully on the auspicious time of Dhanteras day in every family along with worshiping Lord Ganesha, Kuber Lakshmi and Yogini, currency coins, gold, silver ornaments and important documents are also traditionally worshiped.

It is mentioned in the scriptures that on the 14th day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashwini, Satyabhama, the religious wife of Lord Krishna, killed the demon named Nara Kasura with the help of Lord Krishna and freed the world from its danger, so this day is also called Naraka Chaturthi. In the amount of oil, Lakshmiji and in the amount of water, there is the smell of Ganga water.
On this day, take a bath in the evening and wear clean clothes. Both black and white sesame seeds and Darbhayunkta water are offered to Yamaraja by this type of worship.
Yamaraja is satisfied by lighting 14 oil lamps and placing those lamps in the place of the temple garden or the four roads. It is also believed that in the evening, five heads fried in oil along with the four lamps are removed from the head of each member of the household and placed in the four roads around it. By doing Dhar, clothes are removed from the house, ghosts, unclean elements, and protection from harassment from enemies of our interests on this day from dusk to midnight. It is equally important to worship Shri Hanumanji Shri Mahakali Shri Kalabhairav and Shri Ghanta Karna Mahavirji.
Bhai Bija Yamadwitiya
