Many families of Gujarat state are homeless. A scheme has been implemented to provide free plots (land) for building construction/residential areas. In Gujarat, this scheme was implemented slowly in many districts, but five years ago on May 1, 2017, the scheme of giving free plots has been revised. The Panchayat and Village Development Department of Gujarat State has announced a plan to provide plots of at least 100 square meters and not less than 50 square meters to the citizens by plotting the land of the government. And it is planned to publicize it during the gram sabha to give a free plot of this house so that the citizens living in the state of Gujarat who are homeless can directly benefit from this scheme. This free plot scheme, a separate committee was formed to dispose of the applications of citizens for house plots (free of charge) without any transaction and to avoid delays. J and Sandha were told by the Land Committee of the State Government to process these applications in the first week of every month.
The Commissioner of Panchayat and Village Development Department of Gujarat State has sent the application form, the prescribed form and the Talati certificate and the applicant's undertaking form along with the order given to the district development officer last week. So that the homeless citizens living in the state and their families can easily and quickly benefit from the free plot scheme of this government and their applications can be disposed of quickly.

So far lakhs of beneficiaries have benefited from this scheme. And the effort of this state government is that all the poor people living below the poverty line get maximum benefit of this free plot scheme by resolution dated 01/05/2017 by Panchayat and Village Development Department of Gujarat State to provide free plots to homeless citizens/families of Gujarat State. This free plot scheme was started in 1972 by Panchayat and Village Development Department of Gujarat State. This scheme was implemented with the intention that the people in the village who are not in a good economic condition can get their own house. And the main objective of this scheme is to get a house for all the poor families of Gujarat.
