Vijaydashami, the great festival of victory and heroism
Vijayadashami is the victory of religion over iniquity, light over darkness and serpent over ego.
It is a celebration of the victory of truth and religion.
Navaratri is the festival of worship and worship of Durga. The final stage of this festival is Vijayadashami, which is known as the Mahaparva of valor and victory. Sadhana Aaradhana and Bhaktibhava are concluded on this day. All religions are united with equanimity.
People peacefully celebrate this festival with garba ghoomi raas. The day of Vijayadashami Dussehra, the worship of Shastra and Sami tree is of special importance.
Vijaya Dasami festival is also associated with some mythological legends and the demon king Mahisasura was strong who tormented the people he got a boon from Brahmaji that he will not die all the people sang to Lord Shivaji when Shivaji spoke all about the strength of his third friend. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, this festival is celebrated in different ways. In many places, it is celebrated day and night for 10 days.
Talking about North India, during these 10 days, Ramlila is played and in other places Ravana's son is burnt. Also considered as a festival of agriculture, during this time new crops are ready, farmers are happy and give others. During Dussehra, the spring season ends and the grains become storable, so the farmers celebrate the festival.

This year the festival of Vijayadashami is falling on 5 October 2022. The Pratipada period of Navratri is starting from 26th September and will continue till 4th October. After this, on October 5, the festival of Vijayadashami will be celebrated with great enthusiasm all over India along with Ravana Dahan.
